Outpatient Care

This involves attending to patients with common medical conditions where after treatment the patients go back to their homes with basically oral treatment. Majority of the patients seen are children ranging from 0-12 years accounting for approximately 70% of total OPD attendance, followed by adults 25- 40 years, then adolescents and the elderly form the least percentage of OPD attendance. Common conditions managed include.

• Skin diseases
• Diarrheal diseases
• Peptic ulcer disease
• Simple oral dental conditions
• Helminthiasis
• Urinary tract infections
• Sexually transmitted infections
• Hypertension
• Diabetes melitus
• Musculoskeletal conditions
• Simple mental illiness
